COIL needs no introduction. British industrial visionaries — their shadow over modern culture still looms large. Beyond channeling otherworldly power into a captivating sound, Peter Christopherson (1955–2010) and John Balance (1962–2004) birthed a singular techno-pagan myth. It is no accident that COIL is so often spoken of as a quasi-religious cult.

Until recently, their archives seemed unlikely to yield anything fundamentally new. Enter Timeless Edition: the French archivists of the surreal discovered and restored a cache of lost 8mm and 16mm footage. These raw cinematic experiments from Balance and Christopherson collide medical art with body horror and a transgressive obsession with death — signature tropes of the band's "solar" era.

The short-films collection "A Way To Die" (2025, 105 min) will be introduced in person by Reivaks Timeless, head of Timeless Edition, followed by a Q&A with the participation of occulture researcher A. Ibsorath.

A rare chance to revisit COIL magick from a completely new and unexpected angle.
